MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – July 24, 2018 – In case you’re in an accident leaving you unable to communicate, a quick scan of a QR smart sticker on your driver’s license, ID card or passport will display your medical alerts and conditions, emergency contacts, prescriptions, allergies, blood type and even view a copy of your auto insurance card and other uploads.

Account Medical is petitioning all States DMV Departments to update their old system of emergency contact database with their Personal Emergency Information System (PEIS).  This secure cloud-based format needs no installation and easily accessible at each driver’s license centers for those requesting the service.

David McDonald, CEO of Account Medical says, “We are definitely in need of a change when it comes to safety and responsive action, especially when timing is critical, as in an emergency situation when people’s lives are at stake. All first responders work under high pressure. Our PEIS software provides a much faster method of helping alleviate that stress and save more lives”.

David continues: “Currently, there are only five States that offer the public any type of emergency information database in which to enter even basic emergency contact or medical information. What’s more limiting is the fact that it can only be accessed by law enforcement personnel after running your driver’s license and manually checking for the information. Worse yet, some of these database systems use outdated technology, dating back to 2007.

“In contrast”, he adds, “our high-tech QR-based PEIS system gives first responders the ability to scan the unique QR smart sticker assigned to the victim, which is typically found on their driver’s license or ID card. This provides an immediate view of the person’s profile of emergency contact and medical information that they have previously filled out. This means any medical condition and other vital information can quickly be determined and proper treatment can be administered or information forwarded to the receiving hospital, which in turn can save their life. This is, by far, the most effective technology to come along that bridges the information gap that currently plagues emergency personnel, especially during emergencies.”

As each State department comes on board to approve and implement Account Medical’s PEIS system, individuals can order it at the same time they renew their driver’s license or tabs for only $9.95 each year.

Account Medical is a veteran-owned company that provides emergency alert ID systems within a variety of industries worldwide.
