Two Garden Grove High School Class of 2017 graduates are experiencing the benefits of dreaming big. Former Argonauts Marissa Garcia and Tricia Viveros did not let the rigor of ivy league applications deter them.  Instead their big dreams coupled with hard work led to big results.

Marissa and Tricia are among GGUSD’s graduating class of 2017 which produced 1,037 graduates who were accepted into a University of California or California State University school.  GGUSD is recognized as a leader in college readiness rates with 57.5 percent of GGUSD Class of 2017 graduates meeting rigorous college entrance requirements qualifying to attend UC or CSU schools.

Although Tricia and Marissa both were accepted into multiple prestigious universities that would impress anyone, both fell in love with the East Coast. Tricia has been attending Yale University, while Marissa has been attending Harvard University.

The success of these two graduates is a reflection of GGUSD’s unwavering equipment to ensure that high school students with the skills and tools to accomplish any dream they set for themselves… no matter how big.
