Narberth, PA – The Present Sage Acupuncture has expanded its service area to now cover the town of Bryn Mawr, PA in the Main Line suburbs of Philadelphia. The expansion has been made in order to attend to the growing needs of many individuals that have been requesting acupuncture and shiatsu massage services.
The Present Sage Acupuncture uses acupuncture to provide holistic health to adults and children. The Present Sage Acupuncture clinic utilizes a mind-body approach, specializing in the treatment of chronic illness, back and neck pain, women’s health, anxiety, depression and PTSD. Using acupuncture, shiatsu massage, mindfulness-based meditation and other traditional therapies such as moxibustion, cupping, and gua sha the health professionals at The Present Sage Acupuncture help patients to recover naturally.
The Present Sage Acupuncture currently serves the Philadelphia area including Manayunk, Haverford and Bryn Mawr. Services are provided by board certified, PA licensed acupuncturist and owner, MaryFatimah Weening. Recently, Jessie Baty joined the team to meet the needs of patients with regards to Shiatsu Massage.
Over the past eight years, MaryFatimah Weening has steadily been serving the needs of her patients by helping them to recover physically, emotionally and mentally. With original training in Five Element Acupuncture, she focuses on building a relationship with each client so that she can relate with them on a personal level. She completed her undergraduate studies at Smith College and went on to obtain a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine, studying both in the United States and China. She has been licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine as well as the NCCAOM, The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Jessie Baty is the Shiatsu Massage Therapist. A native of Lyon, France, Jessie obtained certification from the International School of Shiatsu in PA. After four years of study at the school, she settled to leverage her knowledge to provide restorative bodywork through Shiatsu Massage Therapy to others.
This Bryn Mawr Acupuncture clinic provides a range of services designed to provide complete healing to the body. They deal with chronic disease, women’s health, depression, anxiety, pain and sports injuries, digestive health, pediatric care, dermatological issues, reproductive health and much more.
MaryFatimah particularly enjoys working with two populations that are largely underserved by Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She enjoys working with children dealing with digestive issues, allergies, pain after a surgery or accident, insomnia, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. She also also enjoys working with creative professionals (writers, artists) to help them move through mental and emotional blocks in their creative process through acupuncture and Five Element healing.
