From turning down record deals from major labels to stay independent to keeping an authentic local Some what Golden Era 2.0 New York City Sound to fighting for his Life in Irving plaza and now fighting for his freedom in Manhattans Criminal Court.
On a Instagram post Troy recalls going back to school with a fresh haircut and sneakers and feeling good about himself and having friends who’s Dad or Mom sometimes both weren’t around or had hard times not being able to provide them with that. He also recalls the emotional pain and toll it took on the kids causing them to be teased and act out and eventually in most cases grow up to become incarcerated or murdered. He’s doing what he can to change the cycle.
He says that “Now having two children of my own and my oldest starting Pre-K. And reminiscing on my past I’ve become empathetic to people struggling because the father or mothers. Dead beat parent and i think it’s not fair to the child who didn’t choose to be born or carry this burden. So seeing as how God blessed, I feel compelled to bless others.
I don’t have a bunch of sponsors and stuff hopefully later on this can become bigger and get more people involved but for now I’m just coming out of pocket and paying for all there back to school needs. From Backpacks to School Supplies, New Sneakers, Hair Cuts for the Boys and Hair Dressers for the girls. I’m even providing a make up artist for the Moms so they can Get glammed up and maybe find a good Man lol. I jus wanna do my part because no matter how much turmoil I’m going threw in Life I’m still blessed and theirs people going through worst. And I always say if everybody helped a little bit the world would be a lot better! Collins held a back to school giveaway complete with the latest Nike Sneakers, Character Bookbags, Etc.
