Figuring Out The Causes Of Stress

Stress is not the same for everyone. It will vary person to person, and how much a person can handle will also vary. To be able to find a stress relief activity or mechanism, it is important to understand what is causing your stress. Some causes of stress are major life events. This would include divorce or a break up, loss of a job, moving to a new home, getting married, or death of a loved one. Some other live stresses can involve emotional problems such as depression, grief, guilt, or anxiety to name a few. There is also work stress. This is one of the top stressors for people. It will include being unhappy at a job, working long or too many hours, public speaking, working in dangerous conditions, harassment, or discrimination in the workplace. Another way to fight stress, though it won’t work as quickly, is to exercise. Exercising releases endorphins into the body to fight stress. It is recommended that adults exercise about 3 hours a week. For thirty minutes every other day, exercise can relieve stress from the body. This does not have to be done in a gym. A brisk walk, swimming, or even yoga. Finding an exercise buddy can make it easier to complete and stay motivated.
