Students of Lake Superior State Universitymake top 10 in the Nation’s Major Field Test

Sault Ste. Marie, MI – The students of Lake Superior State University have continued to show that the school has some of the best and brightest students in the country with their recent performance in a major field test as the Lukenda School of Business undergraduate students rise to the top of the nation as expected.

LSSU has once again demonstrated their ability to compete with the best in the nation with the likes of Kellie Johnson of Irons, MI, Samantha Baldwin of Farwell, MI, Taylor Trzasko of Port Huron, MI, Laine Ludwig of Petoskey, MI, Mikayla Carstens of Barbeau, MI, and Karly VanderMolen of Schoolcraft, MI taking the Major Field Test in the recentacademic year and emerging within the top 10% in the nation.

The test places the students of the Lukenda School of Business at Lake Superior State University against other top students around the nation pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business and measures their performances against one another. Being ranked within the top 10 percent of U.S. business schools is a major accomplishment for the students and business school as a whole.

The Major Field Test evaluates students’ learning outcomes and job readiness after the completion of their bachelor’s degree in a business program. There are 700+ universities nationwide that participate in the subject matter test. The test measures the student’s knowledge of each business subject and their ability to apply concepts, theories, facts, and analytical thinking.
