GoodnightRobin.com Launches Holiday Solution To Loneliness – Loneliness Is A Global Epidemic – But Not Tonight

Chesapeake Beach, Maryland – December 16, 2019 – It is no secret that loneliness is at epidemic proportions, especially during the Holiday Season. Loneliness is often the first step towards Clinical Depression and sometimes results in suicide. In fact, the Nationwide suicide rate increases every holiday season like clockwork. This phenomenon is not limited to any one age group or income level, it crosses all cultural strata. 

In 2018, about 22% of Americans say they constantly feel alone. The elderly fall victim to the effects of loneliness more often because they find themselves living alone in their later years. This causes them to have poor nutrition, depression and leads to dementia. It doesn’t take much more than the sound of a human voice to break the spell of loneliness. 

Robin Rice has the proven solution with her launch of “Goodnight Robin: Your Someone To Say Goodnight To”. A new podcast aimed at tackling loneliness through a virtual goodnight. This innovative podcast launches Dec 22, 2019, just in time for the holiday week. It is “A tiny podcast, sort of like a tiny house, only for your ears.” Episodes are under five minutes. 

Created by social change artist and host Robin Rice, who has had several viral social change projects including StopTheBeautyMadness.com and YourHolidayMom.com. Her free 31-day online course “Training Your Inner Warrior” has been taken by more than 10,000 people at once. 

During a recent interview, Robin made these comments, “Our other social change projects have shown that even online, a proxy voice of caring can and does help. My hope for Goodnight Robin is that we not only tackle loneliness for our individual listeners, but that we also educate and shift the conversation around the topic.” 

She goes on to say, “Right now, loneliness is a source of shame. Many lonely people don’t talk about it, making the situation worse. Because most lonely people can be helped, I want my listeners to find the courage and resources that shed light on the way out of the loneliness lifestyle. There are ways to return to living a more connected and meaningful day-to-day life and I hope to encourage that.”
