Kayla Woods hails from Rochester New York and carries over two years of experience as a practitioner of acupuncture, including an internship at the Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the first affiliated hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University. She has received training here in advanced acupuncture techniques, cupping and Tuina, the Chinese medical massage.
Before becoming an acupuncturist, Kayla studies massage therapy at the Morrisville State University of New York. Here she was exposed to traditional Chinese theory and acupuncture, creating a deep interest in this technique. She went on to attend the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine for a Master’s degree. In the final year, Kayla visited China as an intern at the Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Kayla has professionally worked with various clinics, such as the Canandaigua VA Hospital, and NeuroloQi Acupuncture in Rochester, NY. Her focus areas include pain management, gynecological health including infertility, as well as facial rejuvenation.
At Acupuncture Works, Kayla will treat patients with acupuncture techniques, as well as with methods such as Cupping, GuaSha, Tuina, Moxibustion and counseling for lifestyle changes and Chinese dietary therapy.
