Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph is honored to announce it has received a grant from the Disabled Veterans National Foundation (DVNF) for $15,000, which will be directed to veterans impacted by COVID-19 and will assist those in need with emergency assistance like rental and utility assistance.

CEO of Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph Karen Noel said, “This support is fundamental to enabling our organization to care for the men and women who served our country and are now in need.”

Since the beginning of the shutdowns in March, Catholic Charities’ Veteran Services program has doubled the number of veterans served. Last year alone, over 1,520 were reached through the program.

Ret.), CEO of the Disabled Veterans National Foundation said, “We are proud to support the Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St.Joseph’s, as they continue to make a positive impact in veterans’ lives. Catholic Charities is excited to further assist veterans in its 27-county service area and deepen its impact in helping veterans achieve sustainability.

● Providing supplemental assistance to homeless and low-income veterans through the Health & Comfort program and various empowerment resources.
