Hello SpaceTime Inc. (“SpaceTime”), announced today the launch of a new web-based 3D video chat platform for shared online experiences. Using a web browser on a smartphone or desktop, people from anywhere in the world can video chat and explore 3D spaces built by artists, brands, and friends.
The initial launch features 3 public and private spaces for music, art, and paid events. The public space is a virtual art gallery, featuring an Atlanta-based Black Lives Matter art installation. Anyone can go to the SpaceTime website to visit these spaces and easily invite their friends to join by sharing a link to their space.
“We hope SpaceTime can bring people together in this time of isolation,” said Patrick Spector McGowan, CEO of SpaceTime. “From virtual concerts, to classrooms, to stores, to worlds just for friends – we are excited to see how people will make and enjoy spaces with each other.”
Some of the many features available on the SpaceTime platform include:
• Real-time video chat for up to 20 people per space
• Spatial audio (ability to have separate conversations in the same space)
• Fully Custom 3D Worlds
• E-Commerce Integration
• Public/Private, Free and Paid events
• Scalable rooms for larger events
In the coming weeks, SpaceTime will continue to unveil new features and creative tools allowing anyone to launch custom spaces and events for their audiences and friends.
