As the nation’s one-stop resource and guide to experiencing Alaska’s public lands, APLIC administers 10 National Parks and Preserves, 2 National Monuments, 9 National Wildlife Refuges, 2 National Conservation Areas, 25 wild and scenic rivers, and over 400,000 miles of waterways and shoreline, resulting in an ongoing need for a robust digital presence.

Made possible by the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act of 1980, APLIC requires its primary web presence (alaskacenters.gov) be upgraded from the single-architecture, cloud-hosted Drupal 7 solution, to DOI’s instance of Drupal 8 & 9.
