Due to the impact of the COVID-19, the offline award ceremony and activities were replaced by online awards.
The French Institute of Design is world famous for its GPDP Award, and is known as the “Oscar” award in the industrial design field. But the GPDP Award has not been involved in other fields except industrial design. In order to make up for this gap, the French Institute of Design has set up a sister award “INNODESIGN PRIZE” for many fields including interior design and graphic design. With the purpose of “explore innovative design and lead the industry boundary”, the prize is set up to redefine the good design of the contemporary era and find the good innovation that condenses the emotion and trend of the times, and it also aims to encourage the world’s outstanding designers and design works advocating innovation and environmental protection.
Award winning Art Exhibition by Chinese designer Huang Lang:
Good design will create a new channel for viewers to understand the world culture. It is worth mentioning that some designers from China won awards in this competition. Huang Lang, a designer from BAMPO R & D center in China, designed the art exhibition Irreversible Forward. It is inspired by oriental culture, but it is very modern and conforms to international aesthetics, impressing a lot of international judges with such an excellent design from distant China. It has to make our European designers feel more pressure. European designers, we have to keep up our spirits and work harder!
