UK-based brand, Hey Nutrition, is already well-known for their green approach to e-commerce. While producing quality health and wellness products may be their primary focus, they don’t shy away from doing their part for the planet too.

As one of their newest environmental contributions, Hey Nutrition has recently announced that they will begin planting trees to offset their carbon footprint. Jake Austwick, the company’s founder, stated on the subject: “We simply want to do our part. We want our customers to feel like they’re doing good in the world. It’s astonishing to us that in 2021, there are still companies out there using single-use plastics for their products and shipping materials”.

The planet is changing, climate change is real, and customers are increasingly aware of how their consumer power can help in the fight against climate change. More and more, consumers are opting to support brands that are committed to protecting the environment.

Hey Nutrition recognises the urgency of tackling climate change head on, and they have announced that they will be planting trees directly correlated to the number of orders they receive, in cooperation with several charities and organizations around the world.

“We’re working with a number of organizations, but one that we’re extremely excited to be working with is MoreTrees.eco, who work all around the globe, providing jobs for underprivileged locals, while at the same time planting millions of trees to help absorb carbon from the atmosphere,” stated Austwick.

This new scheme that Hey Nutrition has put into place has already been met with praise by their customers who have responded very positively to the news of their new initiative. Hey Nutrition has previously made similar pledges to help protect the environment, including:

– Using only 100% recyclable packaging for their shipment packaging
– Using only 100% recyclable PET plastic bottles for their products
– Vowing to move to 100% biodegradable HEIS bottles by the end of Q2 2021

Even in 2021, far too many companies prioritize their bottom line without thinking of the consequences on others, or in this case – the planet. However, when one becomes a Hey Nutrition customer, they can be sure that they are doing their part to “go green”.

In December 2020, European Union leaders reached an agreement to reduce the bloc’s collective greenhouse gas emissions by 55 percent of 1990 levels by 2030. We hope that this growing trend of “going green” continues to spread across other companies. Carbon offsets are a great way to help the environment, and avoiding single use plastics is a small but impactful way to prevent harming the planet.
