“My mom saw an article about how the Meals on Wheels program is struggling because of COVID-19 and we wanted to help”, said Jim Daluga, owner of Lombard Ace Hardware. “We made a $2,500 donation and wanted to do more. So we added DSCC to our Round Up Program for February.”
Funds donated to DSCC or raised through local fundraisers like Round Up programs go directly to fund the services that seniors need most – like home delivered meals and well-being checks.
Daluga went on to say, “We want to make sure the seniors in our community are taken care of. We really appreciate the work that DSCC does for seniors.”
DSCC makes it easy to partner with local businesses who want to give back to their communities by offering several ways to donate. They also offer opportunities to volunteer to further help homebound seniors.
