September 27, 2021 – Aspiring business owners are invited to get their “geek on” at the first annual Geekapalooza, a four-day virtual event featuring over fifty speakers covering all aspects of creating a successful online business. Both established and beginner entrepreneurs are invited to this free summit starting Monday, October 18th through Thursday, October 21st by registering at https://geekpack.co/GetYourGeekOn
Geekapalooza is produced by GeekPack®, an online community aimed at teaching women and girls the world over, regardless of their educational or financial situation, how to code, thus empowering them to create a better life for themselves. This online event continues GeekPack®’s mission of Code, Community and Confidence, meeting the needs of those who are new to the digital space and seeking insight on how best to build their business.
“It’s no surprise women were disproportionately and negatively affected by COVID, with studies showing 54% of women suffered job loss while many had to leave their work to homeschool their children or become primary caregivers of sick family members,” says GeekPack® founder, Julia Taylor. “But that doesn’t mean our opportunities as women in the workforce come to an end – rather, I believe it’s where new opportunities begin! There are many bona fide online work opportunities, especially now, that women (and men) can do from the comfort of their sofa.”
Taylor continues, “We created Geekapalooza to show ANYONE that it is possible to start (and grow) an online business by learning marketable and in-demand tech skills, that anyone can learn these skills, even if their level of ‘techyness’ is limited to turning on Netflix. We’re excited to feature over 50 experts covering topics from learning to code and building websites to finding clients and setting up an online business with all the legal i’s dotted and t’s crossed. If you’re ready to unleash your Inner Geek alongside thousands of other empowered women, join us for Geekapalooza.”
Geekaplooza runs Monday, October 18th through Thursday, October 21st. This free, online event is geared towards women but open to all interested in starting and growing their own digital business. Sign up at https://geekpack.co/GetYourGeekOn.
