May 6, 2022 – Project Home DIY founder, Christine Glodt, and her husband, Matthew, created the monthly subscription box for busy women/people to have a reason to find time for a little at-home art therapy in their lives. Everyday life is chaotic and over-scheduled. People need to find time to step away from the crazy and turn the volume down. Focus in on one thing and let the rest go. Walking into big box home goods stores and looking at all they have to offer can be overwhelming. Project Home DIY brings on-trend home decor to customers’ doorsteps and removes the anxiety of too many choices while shopping.
What started with 74 subscribers in April 2019 has grown to thousands of monthly subscribers since. The operation started in their garage with friends and family helping to pack boxes. And now, the boxes are shipped out of a large fulfillment center in Denver, with home base still being in Cody, WY where the couple is currently building a new Project Home DIY workshop. Project Home DIY has experienced phenomenal growth in just a couple years that continues to this day with hundreds of customers staying with the subscription box for over a year.
The all-in-one kits are the perfect way for busy people to take a little time to themselves. Each project includes all the elements needed to create customized home decor every month. Christine shares tips, tricks, and tutorials to complete the project. However, each kit can be made to suit anyone’s decor style from boho, to modern, to farmhouse so never be worried that a box won’t fit a certain style. Subscribers also have access to an incredibly supportive online community with over 4,000 members, where they can find encouragement and ideas for finishing projects.
Each kit is created with the finest attention to detail and only the best quality products are included. Matt, a carpenter by trade, ensures quality control of the wood included and the craftsmanship of the build, while Christine brings her design & business expertise to the table. These projects are unlike anything found on a shelf in the store as they are designed by Christine from scratch pad to prototypes to final design that lands on subscribers doorsteps. Many projects contain silkscreen mesh stencils and branded on-trend paint colors. Monthly, 3 and 6-month prepaid subscriptions are available and new subscribers also receive a free starter kit with everything needed to begin right away. Subscriptions can be scary, but have no worry. Project Home DIY knows how important it is to keep their subscribers informed and always send out billing reminders to subscribers before billing. Sneak peeks are shared throughout the month to provide a glimpse of what’s coming in the next box and best part of all, the subscriber is in control and can can skip or cancel anytime.
