CDL Academy Founder Max Avery Named to NSBA Leadership Council

Fort Smith, Arkansas – The National Small Business Association (NSBA) has named Max Avery, founder of CDL Academy, to its Leadership Council. The National Small Business Association is a nonpartisan, non-governmental organization that is the nation’s largest advocate for small business. As a leader in the small-business community, Avery joins the National Small Business Association Leadership Council with advocates from across the country to promote the interests of small business to policymakers in Washington, D.C.

“It is constantly proven that as an entrepreneur and member of the community, it is absolutely imperative to be involved and engaged in discussion with policy, laws and regulations,” stated Avery. “I look forward to participating in NSBA’s Leadership Council and taking our collective message to Congress, where it is most critical.”

Max serves as the Vice Chair of the Arkansas District Export Council and was first appointed to the District Export Council by Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross in 2018.

Recognizing a need for drivers regularly expressed by the logistics industry, Max located skilled partners and founded CDL Academy, a commercial driver training facility with its headquarters office located in Fort Smith, Arkansas. CDL Academy now has locations in Fort Smith, Little Rock and Searcy and trains hundreds of drivers annually while placing graduates with prospective companies to start their new career.
