Green Tech is working on getting Australia ready for widespread electric vehicle (EV) use. Currently, EV users have more than 3,000 public chargers available — and that figure is only expected to grow as new EVs hit the market. Creating the functional infrastructure of the future requires widespread access to public and private EV charging stations in a network capable of meeting the demand.
“For many buildings, a charging station means impacts to overall building power and costs,” Green Tech founders said. “Thankfully, there is an effective and sustainable power distribution method that can be achieved through using Powerduct systems.”
Benefits of Powerduct systems
Powerduct systems, also called busway systems, are alternative and sustainable methods of distributing power in both industrial and commercial settings. Rather than using cables, this method utilizes aluminum ducts, a modular nature, and a closed casing for a reliable and safe product. Powerduct systems use less copper and steel, making them a more sustainable approach to EV charging stations.
Green Tech EV charging stations come in three power levels. Level one is ideal for occasional use, with 120 V, 12 Amp service. Designed for everyday use, level two offers 240 V, 30 amp service. With 480 V, 100+ Amp service, level three is capable of charging EVs for road trips.
“We offer solutions to run power to EV charging stations and depots, data centers, hospitals, medical facilities, and commercial, residential, and industrial buildings,” Green Tech representatives said.
