Our children’s education is the true legacy that we leave each generation. Well, the pandemic has placed that legacy in risk. Mathematics scores have dropped in every state in the country, and teacher shortages have caused most schools to hire teachers without experience.
Elephant Learning is a mathematics program that covers from counting through Algebra and guarantees that students will learn at least 1 year of mathematics over the course of 3 months if they use the system 10 minutes per day, 3 days per week. They accept students of all ages, anywhere in the world so long as the student speaks English.
It almost sounds too good to be true, but now a new study of over 57k students has shown that students using Elephant Learning progressed an average of 1.67 years of mathematics over the course of 13 weeks using Elephant Learning an average of just under 40 minutes per week.
“Students that come through our system not only understand the teacher better, but are also more confident in mathematics,” says Creator & Founder Dr. Aditya Nagrath PhD. The system combines a games that mimic activities early age scientists already know to be effective, along with reports that include teacher training for the parent at the student’s level. “You just watch the video or try the activity in Parent Mode and you are able to quickly help your child. If that’s not for you, we include two meetings with our mathematics coaches who can do it for you and help your family around mathematics anxiety if you want.”
Dr. Nagrath received a PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2008 and then started his own software company. In 2016, in collaboration with a former professor and using research sponsored by the National Science Foundation, he created Elephant Learning for his own son. Since then, he has become an educated communicator and leader through organizations such as Landmark, EO, and Vistage.
