Oteko Russia has announced the results of the integration of its separate waste sorting system for the last 11 months of the year 2022. Statistics indicate that total solid waste production has been reduced by 130.2 tons compared for the same period from the last year. Such results were achieved thanks to the introduction of separate waste sorting containers for metal, plastic, cardboard and paper across the premises of the company’s enterprises, specifically in the port of Taman.

Oteko plans to install a further 250 containers in the coming year. A new category of containers will be used for batteries, thus allowing such hazardous waste to be excluded from landfills. The given measures are part of a broader plan by the company to maintain its efforts at protecting the environment. In general, Oteko has allocated in excess of 1 billion rubles on the endeavor in the last few years, which included the installation of dust suppression systems in the company’s enterprises. The general result was a positive impact on the ecology of the Taman Region and the health of the community.

The company is adamant in efforts at protecting the health of its employees and the citizens of the Taman Region, helping them achieve better protection of the environment through joint efforts and education programs. Oteko regularly organizes field trips for its employees, community members and children to educate them about environmental protection measures and the importance of proper production techniques and individual actions that can help improve overall well-being.

Michel Litvak billionaire, the head of Oteko Group, regularly upholds the company’s corporate responsibility initiatives and is a supporter of environmental protection measures. Michel Litvak is also a film producer and philanthropist in many areas.
