Zachary Hauge, an aspiring Catholic content creator from Charlton, Massachusetts, has announced an exciting crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to create a new animated short film, “The March of Souls.”
Based on a 15-minute piano piece Hauge wrote during his college years, the story in “The March of Souls” is inspired by Hauge’s battles with his own mental health during that time. Plagued with depression and loneliness, he wrote the instrumentation for the film, which has been described as a musical masterpiece, and devoted time to developing the plotline, which features a boy involved in a mysterious and forbidden love. The forthcoming animated short film combines Hauge’s passions for music making, storytelling, and animation into what is truly expected to be a one-of-a-kind work.
The piano piece complete, Hauge has finally transitioned his focus to developing the film’s script, finding voice actors to bring the story’s characters to life, and professionally recording the main instrumental track for the film. As he moves towards completing “The March of Souls” by late-2023, he is soliciting support from backers around the world.
